The
Calendar is the first section a student comes to when
they log in to their Homeroom page. This calendar ultimately
serves as the web page that each student in that activity group
will refer to throughout the semester.
Activity
leaders can instantly list all of their groups upcoming events
at the beginning of the semester, as well as send updates
as information changes.
The
Contacts feature enables an activity leader to constantly
maintain a list of colleagues, students, and friends with whom
they wish to communicate with. Now, an economics professor
can easily email a struggling student or fellow instructor
by simply clicking on that person's name.
The Tasks and Notes sections allow instructors
to manage logistical matters and scribble down last-minute
reminders to themselves. If a finance professor reads a pertinent
news article in the morning, he can send himself a reminder
to discuss the article later that day.
